Carmanah engineers test a new self-contained solar-powered LED light for aviation, marine and obstruction tasks. Designed to perform in some of the world's most challenging environments, the new 650 light must routinely endure impacts, vibrations, submersions, temperature extremes, hail, ice, electric shock and more. Check out Carmanah's tough new 650 putting solar to work!

Simple DIY Solar Tracker

This tracker is lashed up from two solar cells salvaged from solar garden lights and a maxon geared motor. That's it. No frills. Accuracy is around +/- 10 degrees. If anyone thinks of a way I can get it to very simply auto-reset at the beginning of each day, I would love to hear about it!

Lawrence Joseph "Solar Aftermath" on Coast to Coast am June 6, 2011 Author Lawrence Joseph talked about protecting the electrical grids from solar blasts. We face a serious danger of getting knocked off the grid (major solar blasts occurred in 1859 and 1921), yet the Senate scuttled legislation that was passed in the House to take protective measures, he noted. Joseph said he's seeking to get this topic on the agenda of the 2012 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, so that heads of state can take action on this catastrophic threat.FAIR USE NOTICE: These pages/video may contain copyrighted (© ) material the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner. Solar panels performance during a rain storm! Solar power test DIY I have 3 x 20 watt Solar Panels on my roof. I average 45-70 watts depending on how strong the sun is. I always wondered how well the solar panels would perform in 20-40% of its rated ideal light. Check out how my Solar Panels perform in a serious rain storm! I hook it to solar lights, and a servo motor for testing. It sure looks like Solar panels produce a good deal of electric even in the rain! Please let me know your thoughts and experience with solar power & wind power. I hope you enjoy this video. -Pete mixcatcom Mixcat.com

DIY projects and home repair can be a quick and easy way to spruce up your home, and even help sell your house faster. With projects like polishing brass doorknobs, replacing light fixtures, and painting bathrooms, you can do it yourself and save quite a bit of money from hiring a handyman. DIY projects and home repair can be done quickly and easily, but for more complex projects like wiring or plumbing, you may want to consider hiring a handyman. Watch the rest of the DIY videos from ExpertRealEstateTips for step-by-step video instructions for painting, brass polishing, replacing lights and more.

www.overunity.com Posted with permission from youtube user : www.youtube.com Please go and visit his channel for more info. He wrote about this video: In this opportunity i would like to show you a completely magnetic motor. This kind of motor DOES NOT need to be supply by any kind of battery, or electrical net or solar energy, because it uses his own alimentation by spinning. And, at the same time, can generates extra electric current (as we can see, the led lights connected to the motor are on). The principle is easy to understand. All the motors have one rotor and one stator, but in this motor, we have three neodymium discs (instead of a rotor) and two neodymium rings (instead of a stator) and one last neodymium ring that functions as a magnetic oscillator, self-excited by a stage of captors. This captors commutes the magnet's polarities. This very same principle its now being use in our last prototype: 1 HP (600 W free). We will upload as soon as possible an explication video for the HP. The prototype that you seeing in this video provides 50 W free (12V CC - 4 Amp). ================ Many thanks. Regards, Stefan.

100% eco-friendly, zero-emissions computing! This is a tour of the solar power system I engineered for charging and powering my Apple MacBook laptop as well as other devices. (Nokia N800 internet tablet, cell phones, lights, etc) I have employed 12 solar panels wired in parallel developing around 39 watts in the sunshine. The panels are managed by a solar charge controller wired to a 655CCA 12V car battery. The battery charges all day, then is brought in at night to power & charge my devices. It is capable of charging a completely dead MacBook battery as well as operating the machine under heavy load. A 400 watt DC-AC inverter is used to provide 120VAC. (household current) The inverter is capable of delivering 800 watts for short periods.

In this short video series we will explore the basics of setting up an alternate energy system. What each component does, how it functions and it's place in an off grid system. Designed specifically for the homesteader or survivalist, this video is designed to help get you started on your road to energy independence! No matter what your preparing for: nuclear war, terrorism, economic collapse, market crash, food shortages, famine, etc. Having a working Alternate energy system can help greatly around your homestead or survival retreat. There is one section of this video that has poor lighting, this could not be helped. If your looking for Spielberg cinematography, you came to the wrong place! We know the lighting is bad in that part, no need for immature comments regarding this. If you don't like, don't watch! www.homesteadingandsurvival.com www.survivalreport.net tags- survival, survivalist, survival retreat, homesteading, preparedness, prepare, terrorism, war, EMP, nuclear, obama, 911, alex jones, alternate energy, solar power, wind power, micro hydro, inverter, battery bank, charge controller, solar panel, PV panel, generator diesel, peak oil, end of oil, oil crash, gas prices, food storage, food shortage, militia logistics, Matthew 24, end times prophecy, AIG, Lehman brothers, Osama Obama Chelsea's Momma, LOL anything else that will bring people in ;) Alternate Energy 2
